Ron Dinwiddie, MBA, PMP named Chief Technology Officer at J. Spargo & Associates, Inc.
June 25, 2009Ron Dinwiddie will join JS&A on July 6, 2009 as the company's Chief Technology Officer. Ron's recent accomplishments include the launch of Event Innovation, Inc. a company specializing in Social Ticketing, Stored Value, Loyalty, Card Management, Attendee Relationship Management and Attendee Intelligence. Ron will direct and oversee product development activities and the application of transaction system technologies. His technological background and expertise in strategic planning will foster improvements in business operations necessary to achieve the company's long-range objectives for growth and profitability.
Ron Dinwiddie, is a seasoned Internet software veteran, and is regarded as an expert in card transaction systems. Prior to Event Innovation, Ron served as the Sr. Director of Product Development at Blackboard Inc. (NASDAQ: BBBB) where he led business strategy, product management and product development for Blackboard's Commerce Suite of applications. Blackboard is the leading provider of campus ID card technologies for colleges and universities. These technologies enabled keyless and cashless environments to increase convenience and reduce overhead and allowing students and faculty to use their cards for dining, laundry, copying and printing, snack or beverage vending, bookstore purchases, and door access. Ron led strategic partnerships with Micros, NCR, Ingersoll Rand, and Sodexo, that extended Blackboard's technology throughout and beyond the campus.
Prior to Blackboard, Ron held positions at Homestore, now Move.com (NASDAQ: MOVE), a comprehensive real estate and community information center. Homestore, now Move.com is the leader in online real estate, providing essential web-based tools and content for consumers seeking information and services for their home needs.
A native of Arizona, he earned a MBA from the University of Phoenix and a BS in computer information systems and justice studies from Arizona State University. Ron holds several professional designations and is a member of the Project Management Institute and the Product Development and Management Association.
